Villa Lage is a luxury villa that is hidden in a tranquil corner of the Algarve, in the breathtaking Ria Formosa Natural Park, with fantastic sea views over the lagoon and Atlantic coast. The property is divided into two semi-detached wings, connected internally, offering flexible accommodation for up to 12 guests across six elegant bedrooms. Spreading across 4 hectares of pristine gardens and with direct access to the shores, Villa Lage acts as an ideal base for gatherings with friends and family in an intimate setting.

Throughout the villa, the interiors effortlessly blend luxury with traditional charm, with the owner's private collection of art and decorative pieces adding a warm, homely touch. The west wing, is the bigger part of the property where 4 bedrooms are found, and the spacious living areas are able to accommodate the whole group. An inviting living area with a fireplace and large French doors looking out over the gardens provides space for 12, while adjacent a bright and airy dining area accommodates everyone for shared meals. There is also a separate kitchen. In the east wing, guests will be welcomed into an open-plan layout, with a snug sofa area and fireplace, casual dining corner with a round table and country-style kitchen, providing a great space for meal preparations.

Outside, the spaces have been thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and entertainment across both wings. Guests will find plenty of spots where to enjoy alfresco meals and traditional barbecues for the entire group. You could also choose to unwind in the outdoor lounge areas, either reading a book or simply soaking up the surroundings. Villa Lage sits within 4 hectares of pristine gardens and Algarvian shrubland, where olive trees, umbrella pines, and aromatic lavender creates a tranquil atmosphere. Against the backdrop of the lagoon and sea, there really is something magical to the outdoor space.

Villa Lage features two heated swimming pools, offering a refreshing retreat during hot summer days in the Algarve. Cool down with a swim, or spend your days sunbathing on plush lounge chairs while overlooking the stunning landscape of the lagoon. For adventurers, you can use the villa's stand-up paddleboards and kayaks to venture out along the coast. Alternatively, should you wish, the villa's private boat can take you to a seemingly never-ending, untouched and secluded sandy beach.

Villa Lage can accommodate up to 12 guests across six well-appointed en-suite bedrooms. All rooms have been lovingly decorated to continue the traditional yet sophisticated design of the rest of the property. The west wing offers four en-suite bedrooms, including two suites with private terraces. There are two bedrooms which can be arranged as either doubles or twins rooms, to suit different group configurations. The east wing features two spacious double bedrooms, each with en-suites, and one with a private terrace overlooking the sea, perfect for enjoying an alfresco coffee in the morning.

For extra convenience, air-conditioning is provided in all of the villa bedrooms, while ceiling fans keep the living space feeling fresh. There is also private parking with a EV charging station.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the property for up to 12 guests and is offered with the services of a private chef for breakfast and dinner preparation, daily housekeeping and beach transfers by private boat. Food and drinks are charged in addition.

Location

Nestled in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, Villa Lage is found on the Algarve's stunning eastern coast and is perfectly positioned to experience the natural beauty, culture, and leisure activities of this unspoilt region. The property enjoys direct access to the lagoon, allowing guests to explore the untouched beaches of the Ria Formosa by boat, kayak or paddleboard.

The villa is around a 15–20-minute drive from the picturesque fishing village of Santa Luzia, renowned for its fresh seafood, and from the historic town of Tavira, one of the Algarve's most charming destinations with cobbled streets and 37 churches. Here, guests will be able to visit local restaurants, shops and bars. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Benamor Golf Course, only 15 minutes by car from the villa, as well as the Quinta de Ria Golf Course, 20 minutes drive away.

Faro International Airport is located a 30 minute drive away from Villa Lage.

The chef showcases exquisite local techniques, dishes and ingredients, while also factoring in your own preferences and an effort toward zero-waste sustainability. You decide the pace for your holiday and how you would like things done. Whether it be dinner under candlelight in the garden, a hamper to take to a hidden island, or a long lazy morning buffet to start your day. Breakfast and dinner service is included (food and drinks are charged extra) on six days per week. The villa can also create a personalised bar and wine setup, tailored to suit your requests (stocking charged in addition). If you are looking for an extra layer of service, then add a private butler to your stay to serve drinks and keep glasses topped up (price on request).

During your luxury villa holiday in the Algarve, a dedicated housekeeping team provides daily service, with linens refreshed once a week and towels changed twice-weekly. The bathrooms are stocked with luxury organic toiletries, and each bedroom is equipped with hairdryers, beach towels, and plush linens. Additional services, such as a dedicated concierge service, in-villa massages, yoga sessions, and airport transfers, can be arranged upon request.
