Luxury Villa Holidays In Kenya

Wow, what a Country, nowhere else will you find as much to see and do. Within the borders of a single country, you will find savannahs rich with big game, timeless cultures unchanged by the modern World, immaculate beaches and coral reef, equatorial forests and breathtaking snow-capped mountains, searing deserts and cool highland retreats and endless opportunities for adventure, discovery, relaxation; more than you could ever expect.....

The Republic of Kenya is a country in East Africa. Lying along the Indian Ocean, at the equator, Kenya is bordered by Ethiopia to the north, Somalia from the northeast, Tanzania to the south, Uganda plus Lake Victoria from the west, and Sudan northwest. The capital city is Nairobi. Kenya spans an area about 85% the size of France or Texas. The population has grown rapidly in recent decades to nearly 38 million.

A visit to Kenya offers an amazing mix of wild times and complete relaxation. Whether you're tearing through dusty tracks on the back of a 4x4, or simply relaxing on the soft white sands, you can be sure of a trip to remember. Of course Kenya's famous for its amazing wildlife, the "Big Five" animals of Africa can be found: the lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros and elephant. Get up close and personal on your luxury villa holiday with some of the most beautiful animals in the World. Watch hippos cooling off in thick mud pools; catch a glimpse of majestic lions basking in the warm sunshine; see zebras trotting through the long grass. A significant population of other wild animals, reptiles and birds can be found in the national parks and game reserves in the country. Why not take this once in a lifetime opportunity to see these amazing animals in their natural habitat, then retreat to a luxury villa located on a pristine beach?

At 224,961 square miles (582,646 km²), Kenya is the world's forty-seventh largest country (after Madagascar). From the coast on the Indian Ocean the Low plains rise to central highlands. The highlands are bisected by the Great Rift Valley; a fertile plateau in the east. The Kenyan Highlands comprise one of the most successful agricultural production regions in Africa. The highlands are the site of the highest point in Kenya (and the second highest in Africa): Mount Kenya, which reaches 5,199 metres (17,057 ft) and is also the site of glaciers. Climate varies from tropical along the coast to arid in the interior. Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m - 19,341 ft) can be seen from Kenya to the South of the Tanzanian border. There are five major drainage basins: Lake Victoria, the Rift Valley, the Athi-Galana-Sabaki River (and Coastal areas to its south), the Tana River and the northern Ewaso Ng’iro. The rift valley contains several basins of internal drainage, forming a chain of endorheic lakes from Lake Natron on the Tanzanian border, through Lakes Magadi, Naivasha, Turkana, Elementaita, Nakuru, Bogoria and Baringo. These lakes vary in alkalinity; from fresh water Lake Naivasha to the intensely alkaline Lake Magadi.
